BHU Need Project Assistant in 8000 Rs, AIRSA Respond 'They need labor'

BHU (Banaras Hindu University), the prestigious higher education institution of the country, has released the vacancy for the post of Project Assistant. In this, there is a provision of salary of 8000 Rupees per month to the researcher. On this, the All India Research Scholars Association has tweeted saying that it is a matter of shame for the research community of the country. To give such a low fellowship for research means that these institutes need laborers not researchers.

BHU Project Assistant: What's the matter?

Actually BHU has released a vacancy for the post of Project Assistant. The title of this project is "Biological Evaluation of Novel Synthetic and Natural Selective inhibitors against DNA replisomal machinery of Mycobacterium tuberculosis." This is a temporary project of three years.

Qualifications Required

M.Pharma in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, MSc. in Chemistry and allied subjects with at least 55% aggregate marks. NET / GATE qualified candidate. Candidates with strong interest and working experience in Organic Synthesis, Computational Chemistry, and Nanoparticles.

All India Research Scholars Association on the Issue

Recently BHU advertised a post for project research fellow. A provision of only Rs 8000 per month has been made for this post. Which is very less. A labor can earn more than this. According to Research scholars, keeping a researcher for such a low salary is nothing but exploitation. They are humiliating scholars. They also do not get scholarships and fellowships on time. These students work day and night on their research for country. But the attitude of the government has been sad towards them.

Recently UGC announced, they will stop all the project funds. While research is important part for human being as well as medical sciences and modern technology for the development of our country. How they can ignore research in India.

Research scholars have to do other work to meet their daily expenses. This diverts their focus from the project. Either the amount of the fellowship is so low that it becomes difficult to even meet the expenses, or the fellowship does not reach the students on time. The government is not paying attention to research scholars issues.
