Global warming

A 2 to 3 percent increase in annual rainfall that occurs evenly throughout the year may not make much difference, but if it happens over a week or a day, it can be catastrophic.

The scientists said that they have used state-of-the-art climate model simulations in this study. which highlights the magnitude of change in rainfall over a time scale ranging from every day to several years. Scientists have found that as global temperatures rise in the future, climate-related moisture regions – including tropics, monsoon regions, and mid to high latitudes – will not only become very humid but will also change significantly in moisture and drier conditions.
