Ground Report | New Delhi: After speaking against the allopathy treatment method and doctors recently, Baba Ramdev has now said that he will take the Covid-19 vaccine. Baba Ramdev has said that he will soon take the corona vaccine. He also said that 'doctors are the messengers of God on earth.
Earlier, Ramdev had said that due to adopting yoga and Ayurveda, he is safe and he does not need a vaccine for covid-19. Welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement to provide free corona vaccine to all from June 21, Ramdev said that this is a 'historic step' of the government. He appealed that everyone should get the corona vaccine and said that he himself will soon take the dose of the vaccine.
He told reporters in Haridwar, "You can get double protection against corona with yoga and Ayurveda by getting both doses of the vaccine. Together these two will give you a strong protective shield and then no one will die from covid." He praised allopathic doctors and said that they are "the messengers of God Himself on the earth".
On the ongoing dispute with the Indian Medical Association, he said that he does not want to have any kind of enmity with any institution. He said that he is not opposing any treatment method, but he is against the exploitation of the poor in the name of medicine.

He said that instead of giving cheap generic medicines, doctors give expensive medicines. Therefore, there is a need to open more number of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras. He said, "I am not against any institution. Good doctors are like angels, but there are some doctors who do not work properly."
Ramdev also said that allopathy is a good method for treatment and surgery in emergency situations. He said, "Allopathy is the best in case of emergency and when surgery is required. There is no doubt about it." Recently, Ramdev had raised questions on the medical system of allopathy and said that lakhs of people have died due to consuming allopathic medicines. He also called allopathy a 'stupid and bankrupt science'.
His statement was opposed by the Indian Medical Association. Later, the Health Minister wrote a letter to him asking him to withdraw his statement. The Health Minister said that his statement could prove to be breaking the morale of the doctors and weakening the fight against the corona epidemic.

Ramdev said he apologized if his statement withdrawn felt but written in response to a letter that risks their lives in Corona times doctors "Allopathy has saved the lives of millions of people, we respect him.
