Noida Police of Uttar Pradesh has registered a case of sedition against several senior journalists, including Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, for spreading violence on Republic Day.

According to a copy of FIR number 0076 which went viral on social media, the name of an unknown person including senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai, Mrinal Pandey, Zafar Aga, Pareshnath, Anantnath and Vinod K. Jose has been included in the case.

The journalists on whom the FIR has been lodged include India Today's news anchor Rajdeep Sardesai, National Herald Group's senior editorial advisor Mrinal Pandey, Qaumi Awaaz newspaper's chief editor Zafar Aga, Caravan magazine's chief editor Pareshnath, Karwa magazine's editor Annanath, Caravan magazine executive editor Vinod K. Jose and an unknown man.

According to the copy of the FIR, the complainant has said that these people committed violence and riots in the capital for the purpose of organizing a planned riot and killing public servants.

The complainant states that these people deliberately aired malicious, abusive and misleading and provocative news and tweeted from their Twitter handles. Which said that police killed a Aandolkari tractor driver section Dikin all 153 (A), 153B (B ), 295 (A), 298, 504, 506, 505 (2), 124 (A) A case has been registered in other sections.

These people have been booked in Noida's Sector 20 police station. The FIR has been registered on the basis of a complaint given by a person named Abhijeet Mishra.

However Uttar Pradesh government has ordered all the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police to end the agitation-movement at different places in the state.

Quoting official sources, News agency ANI has reported that on 28 January Thursday, the Ghaziabad district administration issued an order saying that all those who are sitting on the Ghazipur border without permission and demonstrating are vacating the place till evening. Please do it.

Ghazipur is one of the many borders where farmers and workers are protesting against the new agricultural law.

The order has been issued after violence erupted during a farmers' tractor rally in the capital on 26 January. On January 26, around 400 policemen were injured in this violence and public property was also damaged.
