In a bizarre incident, a police complaint was filed against a dog for tearing up a poster of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

A group of women filed a complaint with police in Vijayawada after a video of a dog tearing up the Chief minister's poster on the wall of a house went viral on social media.

Dasari Udayasree, allegedly an employee of the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP), sarcastically filed the complaint with the police. She, along with other women, demanded that action be taken against the dog and those behind it for insulting the Chief minister.

She told local television channels that she has great respect for Jagan Mohan Reddy, whose party won 151 seats in the Assembly. She said a dog insulting such a leader has hurt six million people in the state.

"We have asked the police to arrest the dog and those behind the dog that insulted our beloved Chief minister," she said.

A Twitter user wrote 'Even dogs are not spared in #AndhraPradesh politics. After a video went viral over a dog tearing CM #Jagan's poster, #TDP woman leader Dasari Udayasree from #Vijayawada sarcastically files police complaint that action should be taken against the dog for insulting CM."

Another user said "TDP Vijayawada central women leader Dasari Udaya Sri lodged a complaint after a video of a dog removing the #JagananneMaaBhavishyathu sticker went viral. She sarcastically speaks about AP CM #Jagan"
