Ground Report | New Delhi: Farm laws to be repealed; The Center on Friday withdrew three of its controversial agriculture laws. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced this in his address to the nation. The farmers were opposing these laws for more than a year.

PM Modi said, "Today I have come to tell you, the whole country, that we have decided to withdraw all three agricultural laws. In the Parliament session that starts later this month, we will complete the constitutional process of returning these three agricultural laws.

The PM said that the demand for these laws was being made by experts for a long time. Farmers across the country welcomed it. Tried hard to explain the importance of laws. However, even after so much hard work, we could not explain this to a section of farmers.

The PM said that it is very pleasant that the Kartarpur Corridor has reopened after a gap of one and a half years.

PM Modi said, "Guru Nanak Dev said that life is successful only by adopting the path of service in the world. With this spirit, our government is busy making life easier for the countrymen. (Farm laws to be repealed)

The PM said that in the political life of 5 decades, I have seen the problems of farmers very closely. That's why in 2014, when you gave me an opportunity to serve as the Prime Minister, we gave top priority to agricultural development or farmers' welfare.
