Ground Report | New Delhi: A meeting of PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President is going on at the Prime Minister's residence. It is being speculated in the media reports that in this meeting an important decision can be taken regarding the leadership of Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had met PM Modi, Amit Shah, and JP Nadda. There is speculation that before the assembly elections in the year 2022, the cabinet may be expanded or changed in Uttar Pradesh.

News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that Prime Minister Modi is meeting ministers in small groups. In these meetings, the work of the ministers for the last two years is being reviewed.

Today, PM Modi has also held talks with Yogi Adityanath for more than an hour. However, it is not yet clear what is the agenda of the ongoing meeting at the PM's residence. But this meeting is going on at a time when there is speculation about expansion and reshuffle in the Union Cabinet. After taking oath as the Prime Minister for the second time in the year 2019, Modi has not made any expansion in his cabinet.

There is also speculation of cabinet expansion in Uttar Pradesh. These speculations gained strength because Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was in the capital of Delhi for two days and during this he had a long discussion with Prime Minister Modi, meeting Shah and Nadda. Sources said Modi is meeting his colleagues in the Union Council of Ministers in different groups.

Nadda was also present during these meetings. The exercise among top BJP leaders began after Shah met leaders of regional parties from Uttar Pradesh, Anupriya Patel of Apna Dal (S), and Sanjay Kumar Nishad and Praveen Kumar Nishad of Nishad Party, respectively.

Assembly elections are due in five states, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab, early next year. The BJP's top leadership has started preparing for the better performance of the party in these elections.
