Pearl V Puri arrested in connection for alleged rape of minor

Ground Report | New Delhi: 'Naagin 3' Television actor Pearl V Puri has faced serious allegations, TV actor has been arrested in Mumbai for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor victim two years ago. A case was registered against Puri under Section 376 (rape) of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act, 2012 by the victim’s father in 2019.

The police said that 'the incident is old but a 17-year-old minor girl has lodged a complaint with her family at the police station. The identity of the accused had not been revealed at the time the investigation began.

Actress Anita Hassanandani, who was Pearl's co-star in Naagin, has come out in his support. The actress has shown her support with Pearl by sharing a post on Instagram. Sharing a photo with Pearl, she wrote, " 'Wake up and heard this nonsense news about Pearl V Puri. I know him and it's not true. Can't even be true. Everything is a lie and soon the truth will be revealed to everyone. Love you, Pearl V Puri."

Along with this, Anita has started Hashtash I Stand with Pearl. Fans and other celebs are also reacting to this post of Anita and they are also supporting this hashtag.

Pearl was born on 10 July 1989 in Madhya Pradesh. He is known for his strong performance in Ekta Kapoor's serial Naagin 3. Apart from this, he has also appeared in Bepanah Pyaar. If reports are to be believed, Pearl's father wanted her to join the family business, but her mother supported acting. Pearl's father died of a heart attack last year.
