Pakistani journalist Aroosa Alam says 'will never visit India again'

Ground Report | New Delhi: Pakistani journalist Aroosa Alam, who is caught in the tussle between former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and Congress leaders, has reacted in the matter. She has said that she is very disappointed with the leaders of the Punjab Congress and will never return to India again, The Indian Express reported.

Aroosa Alam said, 'I cannot believe that they can fall so low. Sukhjinder Randhawa, Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu and his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu are hyenas. They are trying to use me to embarrass the Captain. I want to ask them if they are so bankrupt that they have to call me for their political purposes.

After an unofficial exit from the Punjab government, Amarinder is under attack by several Congress leaders because of his friendship with Aroosa. Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa even said that the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) should investigate to see if Aroosa had any links with Pakistani intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Aroosa told the publication over the phone from Pakistan that Randhawa was trying to use her to embarrass Navjot Singh Sidhu and his wife Amarinder. "I can't believe they can stoop so low. Sukhjinder Randhawa, PPCC (Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee) chief Navjot Singh Sidhu and his wife (Navjot Kaur Sidhu) are hyenas. They are trying to use me to embarrass the Captain (Amarinder). I want to ask them if they are so bankrupt that they have to call me for their political purposes.

"I'd like to tell them they were trapped. Their enemy advised them to invoke mine. But it's going to be counter-productive," she said, without mentioning "the enemy."

"They are a deeply divided house. Now please fight your battles on your own, why are you dragging me into this Punjab Congress and government mess? Now that they have dragged me into it, I can only say 'Your monkey, your circus' ' I can," said Alam.

When asked about Randhawa's remarks on his alleged ISI links, he said, "I have been to India for two decades, at the invitation of Capt. I have been Have they suddenly woken up to my link?"

Who is Aroosa Alam?

Aroosa Alam is a defence journalist from Pakistan who is considered to be the closest of Amarinder Singh in Punjab. Amarinder Singh, who has also been the former Maharaja of Patiala, meets Aroosa regularly. Aroosa visits his house, yes, does not go to Patiala because Amarinder Singh’s family does not consider it right.

Aroosa calls Captain Amarinder Singh as Maharaj Sahib and Aroosa also got a VVIP seat in his swearing-in ceremony. Aroosa had met Captain Amarinder Singh in 2004 when he went to Pakistan. Aroosa is the daughter of Aqleem Akhtar who dominated Pakistani politics in the 1970s. Aroosa’s mother was also called ‘Queen General’.

Arusa inherited her mother’s identity and because she had such a hold in the military, Arusa started writing about the military by becoming a defense journalist. Aroosa is also known for his Agusta-90B submarine deal report that led to the arrest of Pakistani Navy Chief Mansurul Haque in 1997.
