After an unofficial exit from the Punjab government, Amarinder is under attack by several Congress leaders because of his friendship with Aroosa. Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa even said that the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) should investigate to see if Aroosa had any links with Pakistani intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Aroosa told the publication over the phone from Pakistan that Randhawa was trying to use her to embarrass Navjot Singh Sidhu and his wife Amarinder. "I can't believe they can stoop so low. Sukhjinder Randhawa, PPCC (Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee) chief Navjot Singh Sidhu and his wife (Navjot Kaur Sidhu) are hyenas. They are trying to use me to embarrass the Captain (Amarinder). I want to ask them if they are so bankrupt that they have to call me for their political purposes.

"I'd like to tell them they were trapped. Their enemy advised them to invoke mine. But it's going to be counter-productive," she said, without mentioning "the enemy."

"They are a deeply divided house. Now please fight your battles on your own, why are you dragging me into this Punjab Congress and government mess? Now that they have dragged me into it, I can only say 'Your monkey, your circus' ' I can," said Alam.

When asked about Randhawa's remarks on his alleged ISI links, he said, "I have been to India for two decades, at the invitation of Capt. I have been Have they suddenly woken up to my link?"

Stating that she was properly screened before her visit to India, she said, "I want to ask all these people whether they think both the UPA and NDA governments were incompetent that they were giving visa to an ISI agent. ? Tell them to talk about something sensible.”

“They wanted to embarrass the Captain by dragging me into the whole controversy. They felt that he was forming his own party and wasting all his opportunities… I sent him (Amarinder) pictures of various leaders of India whom I had met in my life before I met Capt. I must say that all this is the lowest level in Punjab politics.
