Pakistan International Airlines plane crash, 100 on board

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane traveling from Lahore to Karachi succumbed to a terrible accident on Friday. The plane coming from Lahore to Karachi crashed in a residential area near Karachi Airport.

PIA spokesman Abdul Sattar confirmed the crash. In Pakistan’s Geo News footage, smoke appeared from the site of the crash.

According to Pakistani media there were 90 passengers on board.

An Airbus A320 carrying nearly 100 passengers has crashed in a residential area near Karachi in Pakistan, the country’s civil aviation agency says.

PIA spokesperson Abdul Sattar told the newspaper Dawn that the flight A-320 was carrying 90 passengers and was flying from Lahore to Karachi.

According to reports, at least 4-5 houses in the Model Town area have come under the grip of this plane. Many vehicles were also badly damaged after colliding with it. Ambulances and relief workers, including officers, have reached the spot.
