Ground Report | New Delhi: Nora Fatehi’s Zaalima Coca; A new Bollywood remake of an old Pakistani song is currently being dragged on Twitter. The latest song 'Zalima Coca Cola' from Nora Fatehi's upcoming film 'Bhuj: The Pride of India'. Although the song is a remake of a 1986 song sung by famous Pakistani singer Noor Jahan for the Punjabi film 'Chann Soorma'.

It was later remade in 2016 by Pakistani artists Misha Shafi and Umair Jaswal. The latest rendition featuring Nora is the third remake of the song. It is sung by Shreya Ghoshal.

However, despite the fame that the remake is getting, Bollywood fails to accept that the original 'Zalima Koca Cola Pila De' song was sung by none other than the legendary Pakistani singer Noor Jahan for the 1986 film Chan Ta Surma.

This song is from the film 'Chan Te Soorma'. Which was released in the year 1986. Superstars like Anjuman, Sultan Rahi, Mustafa Qureshi, Mumtaz have worked in this film. 

One user on Twitter wrote, “@TSeries  at least give credit to Madam Noor Jahan.”

SophiaAQ, a user on Twitter shared, “This song is in #BhujThePrideOfIndia, an anti-Pakistan film and yet, they’ve stolen #ZaalimaCocaCola , which is a PAKISTANI SONG. The hypocrisy level is high. I don’t play these India vs. Pakistan games but there’s something very much unethical here.”

'Bhuj: The Pride of India' is a patriotic war drama film starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Nora Fatehi, Sonakshi Sinha etc. Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film will release on August 13 on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar. Bhuj the pride of India is a story about 300 Gujarati women who helped the Indian Airforce during Bangladesh and Pakistan War.
