Shah said that peace has been established in Assam in the last five years and more than 2,000 separatists have surrendered. Shah said that the tea garden workers in the state are standing firmly with the BJP.

He called Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi’s Assam tours a ‘picnic’ and claimed that the BJP will form the government with an absolute majority in the state. On the question asked about Tamil Nadu Kerala and Puducherry, Shah said that the NDA will form the government in Tamil Nadu while BJP seats will increase in all three states.

The BJP has not mentioned the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) in the party’s election manifesto for Assam, while the party has promised to implement it in West Bengal.

On the question asked about this, Amit Shah said that CAA is a nationwide law. He said, “Mamta Banerjee has opposed this in West Bengal and because of this it has been included in the manifesto.”
