New Covid-19 restrictions in Delhi: Delhi government has announced new restrictions in Delhi to tackle surge in covid-19 cases.

Delhi government has announced new restrictions in Delhi to tackle surge in covid-19 cases.

Delhi recorded 7,897 fresh COVID-19 cases, and with that the positivity rate breached 10%-mark again, as per the health bulletin. However, it showed a dip in the number of cases as compared to yesterday's count of 8,521 fresh covid cases.

List of New Covid-19 Restrictions in Delhi

  • All schools, colleges, educational/ training/ coaching institutions will remain closed. Online, Distance learning shall continue to be permitted and shall be encouraged.
  • Students of classes IX to XII may be called to school only for providing the academic guidance and support to the students for mid-term exams/ pre board exams/ annual examinations. They have to follow all covid-19 guidelines provided by authority.
  • All Social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious, festival related and other gatherings and congregations will be restricted.
  • All swimming pools, except being used for training of sports person for participation in National and International events will remain closed.

Allowed with Restrictions

  • Funeral/ Last rites related gatherings are allowed upto 20 persons.
  • Marriage related gatherings allowed upto 50 person.
  • Restaurants and Bars are allowed upto 50% percent of the seating capacity.
  • Transportation by Delhi Metro with 50% seting capacity in each coach.
  • Cinema multiplexes will be permitted to open with 50% capacity.
  • Inter and Intra state Buses will be allowed with half seating capacity.
  • All sports events will be held without spectators in stadium.
  • Work From Home is advised for all offices.
  • Passengers coming from Maharashtra has to submit their Covid-19 Negative report before entering into Delhi.
