Why NEET PG 2022 aspirants requesting government to delay exams?

#PleaseDelayNEETPG2022 is now top trend on twitter. Aspirants of NEET PG 2022 Medical exams requesting Indian government to delay exams by atleast 10 weeks. Let’s understand why they are asking for exam postponement?

Dr Abbas Ali, who is an Ortho Surgeon posted a poll on twitter. Out of 8,226 votes 43% participants said exams should be postponed.

NEET PG 2022: What is the matter?

NEET PG 2022 aspirants saying that becuase there was delay in NEET PG 2021 Examination, which was held on 11th september 2021. It’s counselling got delayed by unavoidable reasons and it is still in process, which is highly likely to end by 3rd May 2022. The state conselling will commence after 3rd May 2022 and finish between mid to end of May.

NEET 2022 is scheduled for 22nd May which will clash with the last rounds of admission process of NEET 2021.

Due to this overlapping of dates more than 5000 interns across the country will not be able to appear in the NEET 2022, Since they were on National duty of Covid-19 and as a result of which there was delay in the completion of internships.

Because of this reason students demanding defferment of NEET 2022 Exams dates. They want at least 10 weeks gap between last phase of conselling of NEET 2021 and the NEET 2022 exam.

Now the eyes of the students are on the decision of the government in this matter. Because if the exams are held on the due date, then thousands of students whose internship has not been completed yet will be deprived of taking the medical exam of 2022. A large number of doctors are appealing to the government on Twitter that if the date is not changed, then the situation will become stressful for the students appearing for the exam.

The demand for postponement of NEET PG 2022 is not arising for the first time. Medical candidates had earlier also demanded postponement of NEET PG. For this they also filed a petition in the Supreme Court. NEET PG 2022 exam was postponed till May 21 due to various reasons but especially conflict with NEET PG 2021 counselling.
