National anthem sung wrongly at BJP’s Bengal rally; TMC seeks apology

The BJP claims that they are the biggest nationalist but the leaders of BJP party do not know the national anthem properly. An example of this was seen in the Howrah assembly where the national anthem was sung incorrectly.

TMC Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee on Sunday slammed BJP leaders for 'not singing the national anthem properly' at a rally at Kolkata's Howrah Dumurjala Stadium.

Sharing a video clip on his Twitter handle, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew said, "Even those who propagate patriotism and nationalism cannot sing our national anthem properly. This is the party that maintains the country's honor and pride Claims.

Terming it an 'anti-national' act, the leader of the ruling party of West Bengal demanded an 'apology' from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the BJP.

He asked the question, "Will Modi, Shah and BJP apologize for this anti-national act?"

Former West Bengal forest minister Rajib Banerjee, Belli MLA Vaishali Dalmia, Uttarpara MLA Praveer Ghoshal, former Howrah Mayor Ratin Chakraborty and Bangla actor Rudranil Ghosh joined the BJP on Saturday.

During this, Union Minister Smriti Irani, BJP State President Dilip Ghosh, Suvendu Adhikari, Party's National Vice President Mukul Roy, General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya were present on the stage. The national anthem was sung in their presence.

Rajya Sabha Parliament Derek O'Brien from TMC reposted this tweet by MP Abhishek Banerjee, commenting - ' Another Weekly Blooper from Low Tourist Gang '

Trinamool Congress MLA Arup Biswas also tweeted that If at all there is something @BJP4India can teach us, it's how we can sing our national anthem all wrong.Shocked to see how the ruling party of our nation could do this!! Clearly tells us how much 'Desh Bhakt' our BJP leaders are. #BJPInsultsNationalAnthem
