Former Jammu and Kashmir IAS officer Shah Feasal has resigned as the president of the political party Jammu and Kashmir People's Movement (JKPM). On Monday, he abruptly resigned from the post of Jammu and Kashmir People's Movement (JKPM) chief.

After his resignation, he said that his politics was over before it even started. Faisal also told The Hindu newspaper that he is deeply saddened by the way his branding was done as anti-national. Shah Fasal was a topper in the 2010 Civil Service Examination.

On August 5 last year, the Modi government ended the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. After that, on 14 August, Shah Feasal was taken from Delhi Airport under police control and has been under house arrest ever since. Jammu and Kashmir has been ruled by the Center since June 2018. Feasal is 'house arrest' in Srinagar.

In a written statement, Shah Feasal has said,

"I want to move forward in my life now." Intended to do something constructive. My politics was over before it even started. But I have learned from them too. Some of the things I said were going to cause problems. But not now."

Shah Feasal has deleted all posts related to JKPM party. He said, "I don't want to talk about those things. I have no power for change. As a member of the IAS, I am part of the future of this country. I consider this association important. I am very sad about the way my branding was done as anti-national. ''

Shah Feasal formed a new political party in February 2019. He resigned from the IAS in 2019 but the government did not accept his resignation. In 2018, disciplinary action started on some of his tweets.

Shah Feasal said, "I don't know where to go from here. But I know enough that a lot of work has to be done for education here. A lot of work has to be done on health, poverty and energy security. I do not want to waste my life by getting entangled in the past. ''

Shah Feasal had indicated this on Sunday, when he removed the mention of JKMP of his Twitter account.On behalf of the party, it has been said that keeping in mind the request of Shah Feasal, his resignation has been accepted so that Shah Feasal can choose his life according to his wish.

The JKMP has also said in its statement that Feroz Pirzada, the party vice-president, has been unanimously entrusted with the responsibility of the interim president of the party, he will hold this responsibility till the election for the post of president.
