By state, more than three-quarters of people over 45 living in Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Puducherry, and Nagaland are physically active. If we talk about the least physically active older men, then this figure was the highest in Mizoram - about 80 percent. It was followed by 63 percent in Delhi, 62 percent in Telangana, and 60 percent of older men in Haryana who were less physically active. However, more than half of the women in this age group, 75 percent in Mizoram, 56 percent in Arunachal Pradesh, 55 percent in Delhi, and 50 percent in Haryana, were less physically active,  the study said.

The study used WHO guidelines to classify people as physically active or inactive, which means that a person engages in moderate physical activity for at least 150 minutes per week or vigorous physical activity for at least 75 minutes per week, or an equivalent combination of moderate and vigorous physical activity. activity has been termed physically active.
