There are other countries producing rare and expensive fruits but Japan stands out among all other countries. These are orange-fleshed melons grown in Japan; reared in greenhouses, these melons are also given hats to protect them from sunlight. Due to the sweetness of this giant melon. Yubari melon is the hybrid of two other melon cultivars and is grown only in Hokkaido, Japan. In Japan, Yubari melons are especially given as blessings. A Densuke Watermelon was sold in an auction in 2008 at the highest price of $6100. About 10,000 of them are grown every year and are famous for their essence of rarity. One of these watermelons can cost around $6100 depending upon the exporting nation.
