A video of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut is viral on social media Amid the political crisis in the party, As per the claim by Several media outlets, Sanjay Raut said that the dead body of the MLAs will come back and will be sent directly to the morgue for postmortem."

Several media outlets are running an edited clip of Sanjay Raut and distorting his words, referring that Ruat said that the dead body of the MLAs will come back and will be sent directly to the morgue for postmortem."

The video is widely shared on social media, Facebook and Twitter.

"40 dead bodies will come from Guwahati, will send bodies to Vidhansabha. We sent 40 MLAs as a sacrifice to Kamakhya Temple"

But in reality, he said that: These 40 people who are there, they are like living corpses. They are dead, their bodies will come here, but their souls will be dead".

"We have learnt a lesson on whom to trust….These are bodies whose souls have died." Raut said.

"My open challenge to the rebels is to resign and seek a new mandate from their electorate. In the past, Chhagan Bhujbal, Narayan Rane and their supporters had resigned as Sena MLA to join other parties. Even (Union Minister) Jyotiraditya Scindia supporters in Madhya Pradesh had resigned as Congress MLA (in March 2020)," Raut said.
