Massive protests in London against Modi government's agricultural law

Hundreds of people of Central London held a demonstration on Sunday (local time) in support of farmers. These people gathered outside the Indian embassy in central London. Later these people also took a march to London's Trafalgar Square.

The people involved in the march said that the Modi government should listen to the problems of farmers protesting on the borders of Delhi and seriously consider their demands.

13 people involved in the protest were also arrested by the London Police. It has been told that during March, these people were not following the guidelines related to Kovid-19. An officer of the London Police informed that four out of 13 people have been let off with a fine.

News agency Reuters has written that many people of Indian origin live in Britain and they have sympathy for this movement of farmers.

In relation to this demonstration in London, Indian High Commission, London official Vishvesh Negi said, "A large number of protesters had gathered outside the Indian High Commission. He was not following social distancing.

 In view of this situation, the London police dispersed the crowd. Some protesters also tried violence. But soon it became clear that many people in the crowd had come there under the anti-India agenda. They shouted anti-India slogans. "

However Eleven big political leaders of India including Congress President Sonia Gandhi, DMK Chief MK Stalin, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav, Sitaram Yechury of the Left Front and D Raja have supported the farmers' Bharat Bandh.

On the border of Delhi, farmers protesting against the three new agricultural laws brought by the Modi government have called for a Bharat Bandh on Tuesday, 8 December.

Issuing a joint statement, 11 political parties in India have said that the Modi government passed these laws in Parliament in a 'non-democratic way' which was not discussed.
