The cabinet of Madhya Pradesh government has approved the bill against conversion. Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that this bill has been passed by voice in the cabinet of Shivraj government and after that the bill will be introduced in the Assembly. The purpose of this bill is stated to prevent forcible conversion.

Narottam Mishra tweeted, "No person will be able to convert or attempt to convert to another directly or otherwise in the name of inducement, threat, force, viciousness, marriage or in any other fraudulent manner. No person can convert Will not be able to plot to go. "
In the next tweet, he wrote that by hiding his religion (he called it Lovejihad), violating the law can lead to imprisonment ranging from three years to ten years and a fine of Rs 50,000. Apart from this, for imprisonment of two or more people for mass, 5 to 10 years imprisonment and punishment of one lakh rupees has been prescribed.

Narottam Mishra told that after the passage of this bill in the Assembly, the Freedom of Religion Act of 1968 will end.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister said, "With a view to curbing marriages for conversion, the proposed #Dharma_Freedom_Administration has been made stringent with some such provisions which are not yet in any state of the country."
Mishra said, "With the proposed #Dharma_Freedom_Administration Act being made stricter, some provisions have not been made in any state of the country to curb marriages for conversion."

There are 19 provisions in this new law. If the crime is proved, the accused can be punished from 2 years to 10 years. If a person has fraudulently married his religion, then that marriage will be considered illegal.
State Home Minister Narottam Mishra has said that this bill will be brought in the Assembly on December 28. He made it clear that strict action will be taken against any Pandit or Maulvi who are found to be forcibly getting married or involved in any such case.
The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has also started taking action against Love Jihad. For this, the State Government has implemented the UP Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Ordinance 2020 Act.

The ordinance was approved by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel only recently. Discussions about the Love Jihad law are in full swing in the BJP-ruled state governments. The state governments of Haryana and Karnataka are also working on enacting the Love Jihad Act.
