Shahid Ahmed, sarpanch of Nambala area in Uri of Baramulla district told News agency KNO, said people are happy after the recent ceasefire agreement between the two neighboring countries, with which special occasions have returned to remote areas.

He said, “People including relatives, guests, onlookers, trekkers, and night preachers have started visiting the border areas without any danger or fear while the security forces are deployed to perform their duties, but the people allow them to go to the unemployed places,” he said.

Shahid said that there is no harm in saying that more guests will visit the border areas on the coming Eid-ul-Adha, so more guests will visit the border areas without any fear.

Aijaz Ahmed Raja, a member of the District Development Council (DDC) in the Gurez sector of Bandipora district, said that since the understanding of the ceasefire between the two neighboring countries recently, people in the border areas have lived peacefully and peacefully without any fear or threat.

Several representatives of the border areas of Kupwara district said that the situation near the border has improved substantially after the recent ceasefire agreement between the governments of India and Pakistan, with people living close to the fence living in peace.

He said that people have started visiting the marginal areas to enjoy the natural beauty and even many people come to stay for a day or two and night as the environment is very peaceful.

The representatives said, “On the upcoming Eid, more guests are expected by the residents as people living in towns and cities intend to explore the beautiful virgin places located in these remote areas of Tangdhar, Keran, and other places. "

He demanded that the motorable road to the potential tourist destination be completed in the shortest possible time so that more and more people are attracted towards the frontier district of Kupwara, which will open up more opportunists to the local people in the times to come.
