The temperature in Bhopal, Indore, and Gwalior has dropped due to strong winds blowing across the region. On Tuesday, Bhopal recorded wind speeds of 10-12 km per hour, which led to a decrease in temperature. The cool weather is expected to continue on Wednesday, but temperatures may rise again by 2-3 degrees in the coming days.

According to the Meteorological Department, a Western Disturbance near Pakistan is affecting the weather in Madhya Pradesh. This disturbance is causing winds, leading to a drop in mercury across the state.

In major cities, the temperatures recorded on Tuesday were as follows: Bhopal at 31°C, Indore at 30.5°C, Gwalior at 30.9°C, and Jabalpur at 32.1°C, making Jabalpur the hottest among them. Meanwhile, Pachmarhi recorded the lowest temperature at 27.5°C, while Khargone was one of the hottest places with 35.6°C.

The weather forecast suggests that similar conditions will persist on March 5 and 6, with cool winds keeping the temperature lower. A new Western Disturbance is expected to affect the region on March 9, but there is no forecast of rain at the moment.

By the second and third weeks of March, night temperatures in Indore, Ujjain, and Narmadapuram will rise by 2-3 degrees, while daytime temperatures will increase across the state. Some areas may also see cloudy skies and light drizzle due to changes in wind patterns.

In the fourth week of March, the temperature will rise further, reaching between 38-42°C in many parts of Madhya Pradesh. A short heatwave may hit some districts, including Gwalior, Chambal, Indore, and Ujjain.

The weather department has predicted that April and May will be the hottest months of the year. In cities like Gwalior, Chambal, and Jabalpur, the temperature may cross 45°C. Bhopal, Indore, and Ujjain will also experience extreme heat during this period.

March in Madhya Pradesh has always seen fluctuating weather. Some days are hot, nights can be cold, and occasional rain is also recorded. In previous years, temperatures in March have reached as high as 41°C in Bhopal, 41.1°C in Indore, and 41.8°C in Gwalior. Jabalpur has recorded a night temperature as low as 3.3°C in the past.

With changing weather patterns, residents should prepare for both cool and hot days in March, as the season transitions from winter to summer.
