The Chief Minister directed officials to assist the victims' families and ensure proper medical care for the injured. He expressed condolences and said the state government stands with those affected.

Officials said strong winds and a landslide uprooted a tree on the mountain opposite the gurdwara. It fell on parked vehicles, killing six and injuring three. The injured were taken to Jari Hospital.

Medical teams, police, and revenue officials are at the site, managing rescue and relief efforts, according to Kullu Sub-Divisional Magistrate Vikas Shukla.

Earlier, the Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in several districts, including Kullu. Heavy rain and snowfall earlier this month had already caused landslides and roadblocks.
