Earlier, southeastern winds had caused temporary relief from the cold, but the temperature started falling again on Friday. The Meteorological Department predicts that the cold wave will persist for three more days before some relief arrives on January 29 due to an active Western disturbance in the Western Himalayas. However, once the system passes, the cold is expected to return.
Weather forecast for next two days:
-
January 25: Light fog is expected in some parts of Gwalior, Chambal, and Jabalpur divisions.
-
January 26: Cold conditions will persist during both day and night, with possible light fog in some cities.
