Weather changes and forecast

Dr. Singh stated that northern winds are currently blowing across the state, while jet stream winds are impacting Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, West-North Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. As a result, there has been a significant drop in temperatures, which is expected to continue for the next two days. After this, temperatures may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius.

The Western Disturbance, which is becoming active from January 29, will start affecting Madhya Pradesh after two days. Due to this system, rainfall is expected in the eastern and southern parts of the state between February 1 and February 4. According to the Meteorological Department, the districts of Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Sagar, Gwalior, Chambal, and Narmadapuram are likely to receive rainfall. However, the weather will remain clear in Indore, Bhopal, and Ujjain divisions.

In recent days, the state had witnessed a rise in both day and night temperatures due to south-eastern winds. However, a fresh spell of cold started on January 26, with a further drop in temperatures recorded on January 27. Some cities also experienced light fog in the morning and night.
