The weather in Madhya Pradesh will change over the next four days due to an active system of hailstorms, rain, and strong winds. Some areas will see hail, while others will experience storms with wind speeds of 40 to 50 km per hour.
On April 1, hailstorms may occur in Barwani, Khargone, and Khandwa. Strong storms are expected in Sehore, Raisen, Sagar, Narsinghpur, Narmadapuram, Seoni, Balaghat, Pandhurna, Betul, Harda, and Burhanpur. Wind speeds may reach 30 to 50 km per hour. Cloudy weather is likely in Bhopal, Vidisha, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dewas, Indore, and Mandsaur.
On April 2, hailstorms may hit Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Dhar, Barwani, Khargone, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Harda, Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, Narsinghpur, Seoni, and Pandhurna. Strong storms may blow in Raisen, Sehore, Umaria, Shahdol, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, and Bhind.
On April 3, hailstorms are expected in Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Balaghat, and Mandla. Thunderstorms and strong winds may affect Gwalior, Bhind, Datia, Sheopur, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Raisen, Harda, Dindori, Anuppur, Shahdol, Panna, and Satna.
On April 4, hailstorms may occur in Seoni. Strong storms are likely in Mandla and Balaghat.
Dr. Divya E. Surendran, a senior meteorologist, said a turf is passing from South Chhattisgarh to Central Maharashtra through Vidarbha. A cyclonic circulation is also present, causing these weather changes. The southern part of the state will see changes first, followed by rain, thunderstorms, and lightning in many areas. Daytime temperatures will drop due to this system.
Bhopal was cloudy on Monday, leading to a drop in temperature. Other cities also recorded lower temperatures. Bhopal was at 35.2°C, Indore at 35.4°C, Gwalior at 36.2°C, Ujjain at 38.5°C, and Jabalpur at 36.4°C.
Summer has started, and temperatures will keep rising in the coming months. The Meteorological Department predicts a heat wave lasting 15 to 20 days until May. April and May will be the hottest months, with heat waves lasting up to 35 days. People should stay prepared for both sudden storms and high temperatures.
