Ground Report | New Delhi: Lala Lajpat Inspirational Quotes; India remembers Lala Lajpat Rai on his 157th Birth Anniversary. Lala Lajpat Rai was an Indian Author, social reformer and revolutionary.

Lala Lajpat Rai was born on 28 January 1865 in Dhudike Punjab. Lala Lajpat Rai was a well-known pioneer in India's freedom struggle. He was given the title of 'Punjab Kesari' or 'The Lion of Punjab' because of his patriotism and passionate ideologies.

Rai is one of the prominent members of the most known trio for Freedom Movement, Lal- Bal - Pal (Lala Lajpat Rai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Bipin Chandra Pal) and was a veteran leader of the Indian Nationalist and was a founder of Arya samaj, Bar Council, Congress and National Dav managing committee.

He also stood up for the Swadeshi movement, by boycotting all imported products and promoting the use of Indian made goods in 1907. He led a peaceful protest to boycott the British Simon Commission(1928) however was physically attacked and injured by the police lathi charge that took place against the protestors.

He died a few weeks after tolerating severe injuries during that protest march against the British Simon Commission, which was established by the United Kingdom for Indian constitutional reform.
