Know about SDM Jyoti Maurya, accused of cheating her husband & corruption

In a recent incident, a female senior PCS officer SDM Jyoti Maurya posted in the Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh (UP) was accused of infidelity by her husband. Her husband, who works in the Panchayat Raj department in a grade 4 post in Pratapgarh district, has expressed concern that his life is in danger from his wife, who is an SDM, and her alleged lover. Alok Kumar Maurya, the victim's husband, filed a complaint against his wife and his mistress at the Dhumanganj police station, but the case has yet to be registered.

What is the whole matter?

Alok Kumar Maurya also sought action on this matter during the Janata Darbar (public meeting) with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He has filed a complaint at the National Guard Headquarters against his wife, the SDM, and her alleged lover, who is a Commander of the National Guard, requesting action at the departmental level.

The husband has made serious accusations against his wife, including bribery charges, and has provided evidence of her involvement in corrupt practices. He has submitted the WhatsApp chat logs between his wife and her alleged lover to the police as evidence along with his complaint.

The whole matter revolves around the marriage between Alok Kumar Maurya and Jyoti Maurya in 2010. Alok was employed as a Class IV worker in the Panchayat Raj Department at the time of their marriage. Jyoti expressed her desire to continue studying, so they moved to Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad), where Alok supported her in preparing for the civil service exam.

However, the police have yet to register the case. At the same time, the victim husband has called for action in this matter in CM Yogi Adityanath's Janata Darbar. Along with this, a complaint has also been filed against SDM's wife and her lover, the Commander of the National Guard, at the National Guard Headquarters for action at the departmental level.

The victim's husband has also made serious accusations against his SDM's wife for taking bribes. Giving evidence of accepting a bribe has also demanded action. The husband has also provided the police with WhatsApp chats between his wife and his mistress.

Filed dowry lawsuit against her husband

Jyoti Maurya has been earmarked for various districts including Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Jaunpur, Lucknow and currently Bareilly. On May 7, 2023, she filed a dowry harassment lawsuit against her husband and her in-laws, accusing them of demanding a Fortuner car and money.

Alok Kumar Maurya alleges that his wife has been involved in an illicit relationship with Manish Dubey, a commander of the National Guard in Ghaziabad. He claims to have caught them in a compromising position at his wife's official residence in February.

Since then, she and her alleged lover have become threats to his life. He alleges that his wife has been threatening him with divorce and even death. Alok also mentions that his brother-in-law Sachin Maurya has become a threat to his life.

Jyoti dedicated herself to preparing for the civil service exams. His hard work paid off in 2016 when he placed 16th in the UP Public Service Commission PCS exam for the SDM position. Prior to his current post at Bareilly, Jyoti gained experience working in districts such as Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Jaunpur and Lucknow.

A resident of Azamgarh, she has been posted in Jaunpur, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, and Lucknow after becoming a PCS officer. She has been married to Alok Maurya for 13 years, and they have two daughters.
