IPS cadre officers may end in Jammu and Kashmir; preparations to bring back 17 officers

After the formation of Union Territory, the shortage of officers in Jammu and Kashmir Police will be removed. Till now, IPS officers of Jammu Kashmir Police cadre used to take their jugged and take deputation.

The police was commanded by the state government. After the formation of Union Territory, the contamination of deputations will be difficult. 

After becoming the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, UT cadre will be established here. In such a situation, there may be a return of 17 officers running on deputation.

According to sources, officers can be sent to any UT after the implementation of the UT cadre. Existing officers will be paid attention here. But it is believed that officers will be sent from outside due to the handing over of the Union Home Ministry, Also the officers who are out of the state with deputation. There is also a plan to bring them back. A month later the deputation of an officer is ending.

IG rank officer Garib Das will return to Jammu. Apart from this, 16 IPS officers are out of Jammu and Kashmir with deputation. At present, the total number of IPS officers of Jammu and Kashmir cadre is 67. Total sanctioned posts are 80. But only 50 officers are posted in the state.
