While the remains have been sent for DNA testing, police have recovered a chain, an anklet, and a bag from the spot. Mamita's family members confirmed that the seized items belonged to her.

Earlier, an audio clip of Mamita's telephonic conversation between a colleague and her brother Bunty went viral in which Bunty was heard saying that Sahu had sexually harassed several female employees of the school.
