Janjgir Rape case | Ground Report | Due to illicit relations in Janjgir, Chattisgarh, the woman was strangled to death after gang-rape. Her body was thrown in the canal after filling it in a sack. Three accused have been arrested by the Akaltara police in this brutal crime. The main accused is an acquaintance of the woman. His friend had taken the woman with him by giving false information about her husband's accident.

According to the information, the woman living in ward number 20 had left the house on October 9, saying that she would go to work. She didn't return after that. The husband lodged a missing complaint and expressed the possibility of going with the three youths. Meanwhile, late night, the police found the woman's body in a sack in the canal. At the same time, the police took Chandramani Vaishnav, Shiv Mahant and Surendra Srivas, residents of village Tarod into custody.

Janjgir Rape case: What actually happened?

TI Manish Parihar told that the woman had illicit relations with Chandramani, a resident of her own village. From where she had gone to work, Surendra took her on a bike. Surendra told the woman that her husband had met with an accident. He took her to Chandramani. There, both of them raped her in a room. Meanwhile, when Surendra reached Shrivas, he also raped him. When the woman threatened to tell everyone, the accused strangled her with a blouse.

To hide the identity, the accused crushed the woman's face with a stone and threw it into the canal after filling it in a sack. After 5 days had passed, the body had rotted. The face was awful. When the police called the woman's husband for identification, he identified her with a sari. The post mortem was done by Dr. JR Armor and Dr. Lalita Toppo. Dr. Armor told that the woman's throat has been stabbed.

The woman was married about nine years ago with a youth resident of village Pendri of Pamgarh area. The father of the young man told that only after two months of marriage, the son started living in Akaltara with his wife. Earlier he lived in his in-laws' house, later he had made a separate room in the labor colony. Both husband and wife used to work. The couple has two daughters and a son. The elder daughter is 7 years old, the younger is 5 years old, while the son is 3 years old.
