In response to Hamas fireballs, the Israeli army has again bombed Gaza, and fresh tensions threaten to end last month's ceasefire agreement.

Ground Report | New Delhi: Israeli airstrikes Gaza; The Israeli military says it carried out airstrikes on Gaza late Thursday night, "in response to Hamas bombings." The Israeli strikes were so loud that their voices could be heard in Gaza City, but it was not immediately clear how many lives and property were lost.

Israeli warplanes pounded Gaza City and southern Khan Younis early Wednesday morning, and for the second day in a row, night bombings continued. A ceasefire agreement was reached last month after 11 days of fighting between the two sides, but it now appears that the ceasefire agreement is in jeopardy.

In May, a limited-scale war between Hamas and Israel killed about 250 Palestinians, including dozens of minors and women, and 13 in Israel. Then a ceasefire agreement was reached after Egyptian mediation.

However, it is now being said that Hamas has recruited a number of activists in Gaza who have been sending incendiary balloons to Israel for the past few days and Israel are responding with airstrikes and continuing them. Has also spoken. This could jeopardize the ceasefire agreement.

The Israeli military said in a statement on the latest attacks that "balloons have been sent to Israel from the Gaza Strip for several days. In response, warplanes have targeted Hamas-linked military compounds and a rocket launcher.

The statement added that the Israeli military "has stepped up its preparations for a variety of reasons and will continue its attacks on Hamas strongholds in Gaza."

US Secretary of State Anthony Blankenship says he spoke by telephone with his new Israeli counterpart, Yair Lipid. "We discussed the United States' strong commitment to Israel's security, our bilateral relations, and the challenges ahead," he said.

The latest airstrikes on Gaza and the sending of fireballs to Israeli soil come at a time when Egypt is trying to further strengthen the ceasefire agreement reached last month.
