The IPL 2022 auction was halted on Saturday due to an unforeseen health emergency. Auctioneer Hugh Edmeades collapsed as bidding for Wanindu Hasaranga unfolded two hours after the action began.
According to reports, Edmeades is doing well and the IPL auction will resume shortly after lunch. The Bengaluru live stream was immediately halted after Edmeades shockingly collapsed from the stage and had lunch early. According to Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the IPL, the auction will resume after lunch and Edmeades will continue the proceedings.
