On the first day of the commencement of the budget session of the Parliament, President Ram Nath Kovind gave his views on the demonstration on agricultural law, the incident on January 26 and the achievements of the government in his address.

President Ram Nath Kovind said that my government wants to make it clear that before the creation of three new agricultural laws, there was no reduction in the rights and facilities which were under the old system. Rather, through these agricultural reforms, the government has given new rights to farmers as well as new rights.

"After extensive deliberations, Parliament has passed three important agrarian reforms, the Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Simplification) Bill, Agriculture (Empowerment and Protection) Price Assurance and Agricultural Services Agreement Bill, and Essential Commodities Amendment Bill seven months ago. "

The President said- The biggest benefit of these agricultural reforms also started getting more than 10 crore small farmers immediately. Many political parties had given their full support to these reforms from time to time only after realizing these benefits to small farmers.

The President said that these agricultural laws passed by the government have been postponed by the Supreme Court and the government will respect the court's decision.

He said that the government supports the peaceful movement but what happened on 26 January was unfortunate.

On the violence that took place in Delhi recently, he said- Insult to the holy day like tricolor and Republic Day is very unfortunate. The constitution gives us the right to freedom of expression, the same constitution teaches us that law and rule should be followed equally seriously.
