Indian Women Entrepreneurs | Ground Report | With a century of retrograding restrictions and misogynistic suppressing of women, they were kept in a confined boundary with no opportunity and aspiration to strive on. The level of degradation faced by women in the past was sickening. Women's impotence and unequal rights paved a way for the long term of male oppressing society. With a limited goal and a small ray of hope, women were only supposed to take care of the house, the kids and the husband.

Finally with passage of time and development of society and an equal mindset women have been given an equal place in the society. With various opportunities to live their dreams and have a wider perspective of the world, they have proved to be an asset.

By portraying their abilities in innovation, determination, creativity, efficiency and skills women have conquered the sector of retail, social work, technology, education and in the corporate sector. Some do this on a small scale, some bring out revolutions but the significant part is that everyone plays their part with extreme efforts.

Shradha was born and brought up in Patna, Bihar. After completing her college from St.Stephen’s with a major in history, she completed her MBA from MICA. She came back to India and started BioCoin in her garage of the house she rented in Bangalore and the rest is history.

She started the BioCoin foundation to carry out her philanthropic activities and give back to the society. Muzumdar-Shaw has provided major support in the health and medical sector as she has lent her hand in development of Arogya Raksha Yojana and has also started Muzumdar-Shaw Medical Foundation. There are many more things carried out by her which have paved a way for a better more healthy society.

Kiran Muzumdar-Shaw is an embodiment of success, philanthropy, tenacity, virtue and entrepreneurship.

4} Swati Bhargava

Swati is the confounder of CashKaro, India’s largest and fastest growing coupon and cashback site in the country. Before getting her big break out Swati was an investment banker in Goldman Sachs for 5 years. She has completed her education for London school of Economics with a major in Mathematics and Economics, her mind has always been as sharp as a knife.

She started the firm after gaining inspiration from a UK based cashback portal Quidco, as her husband and cofounder Rohan Bhargava booked a flight to Maldives through Quidco and loved the concept. The big step of leaving an amazing job to become an entrepreneur was tough but absolutely worth it.

5} Ajaita Shah

Frontier Market is an initiative to provide sanitary and energy products in the rural areas to the families who are unable to afford them.

Ajaita has brought a quality and affordable line of products to the rural door steps. She has been awarded with the most influential award in Microeconomics and other several awards because of her idea and motto of providing the basic sanitary products to everyone who is unable to afford them.
