Indian musician Ricky Kej receives Grammy Award

The 64th Grammy Awards were held at the MGM Grand Marqui Ballroom in Las Vegas, USA. In the event, Indian musician Ricky Kej has been awarded the Grammy Award, this is the second time that Cage has received a Grammy.

He has received the award for ‘Best New Age Album’ with American rock band ‘The Police’ drummer Stewart Copeland. The award has been given for his album Divine Tides’.

Sharing the news on Twitter with his followers, Ricky wrote, “Won the Grammy Award today for our album Divine Tides. Filled with gratitude and love this living-legend standing with me – @copelandmusic. My 2nd Grammy and Stewart’s 6th. Thank you to everyone who ever collaborated, hired, or listened to my music. I exist because of you.”

Ricky Kej was born in America but now lives in Bangalore.

Indian-American artist Falguni Shah won the Grammy for Best Children’s Music Album this year for “A Colorful World.” Shah, who goes by the stage name “Falu,” focuses on using his music to send messages of inclusion and unity. On his Grammy-winning album, he sings about kites, colors, and rainbows.

Pop phenomenon Olivia Rodrigo, 19, bagged the coveted Grammy for Best New Artist.

The Grammys, music’s biggest night, kicked off in Las Vegas with dazzling performances exactly one week after the Oscars.

This year, the Grammy Awards have been postponed from January to April due to a rise in COVID-19 earlier in the year. The date change forced a change of venue from Los Angeles to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Last year, the pandemic forced a scaled-down outdoor ceremony without the traditional audience of thousands.
