India rejects China's claim

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, "We reject such statements. Our position on the developments along the LAC in eastern Ladakh last year is clear and consistent. There was provocative behavior from the Chinese side and all were unilateral." Defying bilateral agreements, an attempt was made to change the then situation, which seriously disturbed the peace system.

According to the Indian Express report, earlier in response to a question on the Quad Summit, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian had said, "A small group especially targeting other countries goes against today's era and It will definitely fail, as it will not get any kind of support."

Lijian further said, "The countries concerned should see China's development in the right way and make efforts to increase brotherhood and cooperation among the countries of the region."

China creator of world peace

“China has always believed that no regional cooperation mechanism should target any third party or harm its interests. The search for exclusive closed blocs against any third country is against the trend of the times and the aspiration of the countries of the region. It will not get any support,” he said.

Defending Chinese claims in the South China Sea, Zhao said: "China is the creator of world peace, a contributor to global development and a holder of world order". "China's development means development for peace and stability in the world and looking at China's contribution to peace, stability and development in the Asia Pacific. "Relevant countries should do more which is conducive to solidarity and cooperation with the four countries of the region," he said.
