Sri Lanka is burning, what will happen next?

Amidst the ongoing crisis in Sri Lanka, India has categorically denied that it is sending troops to Sri Lanka. The Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka has completely denied such reports.

The Indian High Commission tweeted, "The High Commission would like to categorically refute the fictional reports in the media and social media about India sending its army to Sri Lanka. These reports and such views are not in consonance with the position of the Government of India.

"The Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs of India today categorically stated that India stands with the people of Sri Lanka as they realise their aspirations for prosperity and progress through democratic methods and values, established institutions and constitutional framework," the High Commission said."

Even before this, India has denied some rumors related to Sri Lanka. The High Commission had denied by tweeting on May 10 that Sri Lankan politicians and their families had taken refuge in India.

At the same time, on May 7, the High Commission had denied reports that Sri Lanka had taken vehicles from India for water cannons on the protesters.

India said that no water cannon vehicle has been given to Sri Lanka under the line of credit.
