India and the United States are ready to give their strategic relations a new height. US Secretary of State Pompeo and Defense Minister Mark Esper arrived in Delhi on Monday for two plus two talks on Tuesday. 

There were separate bilateral talks between Rajnath and Espar and between Jaishankar Pompeo. Prior to talks with Rajnath Singh, the US Defense Minister was given a guard of honor by the three forces outside South Block at Raisina Hill.

The foreign and defense ministers of both countries will take part in the third edition of the two-plus-two talks between India and America on Tuesday. Just a week before the election in the US, the talks between the two top Trump ministers are considered very important. 

The talks will discuss a number of important bilateral, regional and global issues, including China's attempt to increase influence in the Indo-Pacific region and its aggressive behavior in the eastern Ladakh region. 

The defense agreement between the two countries may be reached in the meeting between the foreign ministers of India and the US on Tuesday.

According to the report, the path has been cleared for basic exchange and cooperation agreement between India and USA.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Secretary of Defense Mark T Esper have reached India on Monday. He has started talks with India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar.

This meeting, which is being held in the US a week before the presidential elections, is seen as strengthening the relationship between the two countries. The Defense Ministry of India says that there will be a defense agreement between the two countries during this negotiation. This will strengthen military relations between the two countries.
