A video of the Haryana Agriculture Minister has been the subject of discussion on social media. During the interaction with the journalists, Agriculture Minister JP Dalal in the Manohar Lal Khattar government of Haryana was saying that farmers would have died even if they were in their homes.

A journalist had asked him questions about the death of farmers during protests on the borders of Delhi. In response to this, the broker said that he would have died even when he was at his house. However, he later clarified and said that his statement has been misrepresented.
In this, in response to a media question on the death of 200 farmers who were protesting on the borders of Delhi regarding the agricultural laws implemented by the central government, he said, "They would have died even if they were in the house. Are they not dying here? My Hear this matter, out of a lakh two lakh, do not you die in two hundred and six months? Some died due to heart attack, some died due to fever."

The video has also been shared by the Aam Aadmi Party of Delhi.
When the Agriculture Minister was asked that the Prime Minister mourns the death of ten people in the accident but this is not the case with farmers, he said, "They did not die in the accident, they died voluntarily. All the condolences."

However, after the controversy started about his statement, he apologized and said that his statement is being distorted on social media.
He said, "If my statement has hurt anyone's feelings, then I apologize to them."
