Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will win a vote of confidence in Parliament. Pakistan's ruling ie Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced this after losing the most popular Islamabad seat in the Senate.
Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi held a press conference on Wednesday and said that there is a need to clarify in Parliament who is with Imran Khan and who likes Pakistan People's Party or Pakistan Muslim League (N).

From Islamabad seat, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Yusuf Raza Gilani has defeated Finance Minister Abdul Hafiz Sheikh in Imran Khan's government. Yusuf Raza Gilani was the candidate of the joint opposition PDM i.e. Pakistan Democratic Movement. By the way, Gilani Bilawal Bhutto is from Zardari's party PPP.
Imran Khan's finance minister's defeat from Islamabad seat is being seen as a big setback. In this election, Imran Khan personally campaigned for his cabinet partner.
PTI said that it has a total of 182 votes, whereas only 172 votes were needed to win. Yusuf Raza Gilani has got 169 votes and Abdul Hafiz Sheikh has 164 votes. A total of 340 votes were cast. PDM has a total of 11 opposition parties, including Nawaz Sharif's PML (N) and Bilawal Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party.

The much-awaited Senate election is over and Imran Khan's party has won a total of 18 seats. The PPP has got eight seats and the PML (N) has five seats.
On the defeat of Abdul Hafiz Sheikh in Islamabad and the victory of his candidate, Bilawal Bhutto has tweeted, "The Prime Minister said that if he loses the Senate seat in Islamabad, he will dissolve the assembly." Islamabad has been defeated. Who's stopping them now? Is the captain afraid of elections?"
Shah Mehmood Qureshi also questioned the Election Commission of Pakistan in the press conference. Qureshi said that only for transparency in voting, his government had asked to vote with open ballot, but opposition parties did not like it.

After this defeat, the opposition has sought resignation from Prime Minister Imran Khan. PPP chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held the press conference and said that this victory belongs to the democratic forces of Pakistan. Bilawal said that the Prime Minister should resign now because this demand is not only for the opposition but also for the members of his government.
