Ground Report | New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh seems to be getting stuck badly by doing clubhouse chat. The Bharatiya Janata Party BJP has attacked Congress leader Digvijay Singh for his statement on Article 370 during a clubhouse chat. In fact, purported audio of Digvijay Singh's clubhouse chat has gone viral, in which he can be heard saying that if Congress comes to power, it will consider reinstating Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. 

BJP leader and party's IT cell chief Amit Malviya has released the audio of Digvijay Singh's alleged clubhouse chat. Amit Malviya shared a part of the clubhouse chat on Twitter and wrote, 'In the clubhouse chat, Rahul Gandhi's top aide Digvijay Singh tells a Pakistani journalist that if Congress comes to power, he will oppose Article 370. Will reconsider the decision. Actually? This is what Pakistan wants.

It is being claimed that Pakistani journalists were also involved during Digvijay Singh's clubhouse chat and Digvijay Singh has said so in response to the question of Pakistani journalists. In the audio of the purported clubhouse chat viral on social media, Digvijay Singh says, "When Article 370 was removed from here (Jammu and Kashmir), democratic values ​​were not followed. 

During this, neither humanity was taken care of nor was it taken care of Kashmiriyat. Everyone was put behind bars. If the Congress government comes to power, we will reconsider this decision and restore Article 370.

BJP attacked Digvijay Singh

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra has also attacked Digvijay Singh by tweeting this audio chat. Sambit Patra wrote on Twitter- 'Digvijay Singh talked about reconsidering the restoration of Article 370. He referred to Hindu fundamentalists. 

Congress is the clubhouse of anti-nationals. At the same time, Union Minister Giriraj Singh also tweeted the viral chat and wrote, "Pakistan is the first love of Congress. Digvijay Singh has conveyed Rahul Gandhi's message to Pakistan. Congress will help Pakistan in grabbing Kashmir.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted and wrote that Congress should have agreed on 370. He wrote, "Humanity died on a day when those instigating violence send their children abroad and gave stones to the children of common people. Kashmiriyat died on the day when lakhs of Kashmiri Pandits were driven out of the Valley overnight and even They are being murdered even today." He further wrote, "Digvijay Singh should learn the lesson of patriotism from Kashmiris instead of provoking our Kashmiri brothers."

Digvijay's response

Responding to the opposition’s claims, Digvijay said, “Illiterates cannot understand the difference between shall and consider."

During the same conversation on the clubhouse, Singh on religious fundamentalism said, “I sincerely believe what is dangerous to the society is the religious fundamentalism, whether it is Hindu, Islam, Christianity or Sikhism. It only leads to hatred, which eventually leads to violence.”

J&K's special status was revoked in August, 2019

The provisions of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, which gave special status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, were repealed on August 5, 2019. That state was then divided into two union territories - Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Several influential politicians, including two former chief ministers, were placed under house arrest and 4G internet services were snapped in the Valley.
