A sadhvi named Yogmata had reached Ahilyabai Holkar airport to board a flight to Delhi. While checking the luggage of Sadhvi Yogmata, the officials engaged in security got suspicious.

After which the officers were surprised when they opened the goods and saw them. Bones and human skull were found in Sadhvi's salmon, after which Sadhvi was interrogated by the police.

Ahilyabai Holkar was stopped from traveling in a plane at the airport after her ashes and a human skull were found in the luggage of Sadhvi Yogmata, a resident of Ujjain's ashram. 

Aerodrome station in-charge Rahul Sharma told that during checking from the luggage of a sadhvi of Ujjain's ashram, bones and human skull were found.

Since the airlines did not allow it, she handed over the ashes to a relative and boarded another flight in the evening.

According to airline officials, passengers will have to take permission from the airport authority to take the dead body with them. And, mortal remains are only allowed to be carried in handbags; It cannot be carried in a luggage bag, airline officials said.

Security personnel were immediately alerted. Aerodrome police spoke to Sadhvi, who said that the skull belonged to a relative who died in the second Covid wave. "She said that she was going to immerse the skull in the Ganges river in Haridwar," police said.

The airport authorities turned down her request. "Passengers are allowed to carry bodies only in hand baggage, that too after obtaining permission from the airport authority," an official said.
