Ground Report | New Delhi: How much will Messi earn from PSG; Lionel Messi has officially joined Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after leaving Barcelona. PSG has announced that the football star has signed a two-year deal with the French club with an additional one-year option.

The 34-year-old will be seen in action on the field with his former teammate Neymar Jr. and French star Killian Mbabane, but Brazil's Neymar will wear the number 10 jersey at the French club while Lionel Messi will keep his old number 30 while playing for the club.

How much will Messi earn from PSG

Reports have it that Messi's two-year contract with PSG gives him an annual net salary of $41 million including bonuses. The contract also considers an option for the third year.

On the other hand, according to the news agency Reuters, some corrupt currency 'fan token' has also been included in the agreement with the French club. Fan tokens are a form of cryptocurrency and those who have these tokens are allowed to vote on most minor decisions regarding their clubs.

Clubs launching tokens this year include the English Premier League, Manchester City and Italy's AC Milan. Messi's former club Barcelona also launched a token last year. The PSG said that since the news of Messi's joining the club, there has been a huge increase in the trade of his fan tokens.

According to the club, even before the arrival of Messi, the trade volume of his token exceeded 1. 1.2 billion. Mark Armstrong, PSG's Chief Partnership Officer, said: "We've been able to attract new global customers, which has led to a significant stream of digital revenue."
