When using AirPods in high temperatures, battery life may be shortened and these effects may be permanent. Because AirPods use tiny battery cells that are always charging, they are more susceptible to capacity loss when the devices overheat.
Sometimes it can be difficult to explain why an AirPod battery dies. If you find that your AirPods don’t last as long as they used to, it may be time to replace them. However, you really shouldn’t throw them away.
Batteries can cause serious fires, even if the battery is no longer good. Many chemical fires at recycling plants and garbage disposal sites have been caused by people throwing away cell phones, tablets, computers and other equipment.
