Ground Report | New Delhi: Hindus marriage Mohan Bhagwat; Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Sunday that Hindus who are converting for marriage are doing it wrong.
Bhagwat said this is happening because of a petty selfishness as Hindu families are unable to instill a sense of pride in their children for their religion and traditions.
According to the Indian Express report, “Bhagwat, while addressing RSS workers and their families during an event in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, said how does conversion happen? How do boys and girls of our country convert to other religions? To get married. For, because of petty selfishness. Those who do are wrong, that’s a different thing, but don’t we prepare our children? We have to give this sanskar at home. Proud of ourselves, proud of our religion, Have respect for your worship. If the question comes up for him, answer it, don’t get confused.
Mohan Bhagwat’s statement comes at a time when several BJP-ruled states have brought laws against inter-religious marriages. Hinduist organizations call such marriages ‘love-jihad’. It is believed that the state governments have brought this law under pressure from the RSS.
Bhagwat spoke at length about the values and security of Indian families, he also pointed out how only men appear in RSS programs.
He said, “The aim of the RSS is to create a Hindu society, but when we organize RSS programs, we see only men. If we want to make a perfect society, 50% of it should be women.
Bhagwat said that Indians always shared their wealth with others, there was a lot of wealth in India till the arrival of the Mughals.

The RSS chief also said that parents need to be careful about what their child is watching on the OTT platform.
Bhagwat said, “All kinds of things are available on OTT. What comes in media doesn’t reflect what is right for kids and what are our values. We have to teach our kids at home what to watch And what not.
Praising the Indian family system, Bhagwat said that western countries used to study our family system, but some forces worked to destroy these values.
He said, “Western countries started sending charas to China to enslave people. The young man got addicted to charas and thus the West ruled China. The same thing is happening in our country. If you look at drug cases and know where they are coming from, you will know why and where it is coming from and who is benefiting from it.
