Haryana: Two Muslim men kidnapped and burned to death

Members of the Bajrang Dal allegedly abducted, lynched and murdered two Muslim men, Junaid and Nasir, in Haryana's Bhiwani district on Thursday, on suspicion of their involvement in the cow slaughter.

According to media reports, it was around 1:00 p.m. Thursday when villagers saw charred bodies inside the Bolero. The bodies of two men were found completely burned, police said. The SUV's chassis number was confirmed to be MA1FF2NGRKSE 7198, and police stepped up the investigation to trace the details of the vehicle.

Victims residents of Rajasthan

Police officers, along with a forensic science lab team, arrived at the scene and were trying to establish the identity of the victims. Jagat Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Loharu (Bhiwani) stated that the men were residents of the Ghatmeeka village of Pahari tehsil in the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. Both were identified as Nasir (25) and Junaid alias Juna (35).

The Rajasthan police have brought a case under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code related to unlawful assembly, kidnapping, kidnapping or kidnapping to subject a person to serious injury or enslavement and wrongful confinement, according to The Wire.

The FIR filed by the families of Nasir and Junaid named the Bajrang Dal activists for the kidnapping. Anil, Rinku Saini, Lokesh and Monu were accused of committing the act.

Junaid's cousin, Ismail, told The Wire that the family filed a police complaint after they were unable to trace him for several hours and learned that Bajrang Dal had kidnapped the two men.

Junaid's relatives also claimed that members of the Hindutva organization took the men to the Firozpur Jhirka police station in Haryana. However, according to the family, the police did not arrest the two men because they had been seriously injured as a result of the assault.

Police investigating cow vigilante angle

Police said they were investigating whether a cow vigilante was involved in the deaths. Junaid had five cow smuggling cases against him, while Nasir had no criminal record, a police official said.

Bajrang Dal breaks silence

Meanwhile, the Bajrang Dal denied any involvement in the killings. Monu Manesar, one of the men named in the FIR, stated that the accusations against the accused were false. “Neither my team nor the Bajrang Dal Haryana unit have anything to do with the incident that occurred at the Gopalgarh police station in Rajasthan,” he stated.
