Ground Report | New Delhi: Half-naked woman thrown from car; An unidentified body of a woman was found on Monday with a complete injury to her face on Avinashi Road in Coimbatore. When the police reached the spot on the basis of a tip-off and recovered the CCTV footage, the video showed the woman falling from the speeding SUV and later two vehicles passing over her on the road.

After this, the police registered a case of suspicious death and formed two special teams to investigate the death and identify the body.

According to reports, on Monday morning, passersby informed the traffic investigation wing of Coimbatore police that a woman's body was found on the road and several vehicles had passed over her, leaving her face completely broken. On the basis of the information, Inspector Muthumani went to the spot and started an investigation.

Peelamedu police collected CCTV footage from a nearby commercial establishment and saw the woman's body being dumped from an SUV car. Within no time two vehicles were hit by him. The CCTV footage showed two men getting down from the vehicle and looking at the body but they left.

However, when the police went to retrieve the body, the face was completely broken and the woman was half-naked. Hence, the police have registered a case under suspicious death and also suspects that it may be a murder. Police have sent the body to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for post-mortem and the post-mortem report is awaited. Two special teams of police are continuing the investigation.
