The government is going to hire cyber volunteers to monitor anti-national activities. The cybercrime cell of the Ministry of Home Affairs has started a new program under which cyber volunteers will be able to report illegal content to the government.

These volunteers will inform the government about child pgraphy, rape, terrorism, fundamentalism and anti-national activities.

A new program called Cyber ​​Crime Cell is about to be launched by the Central Government and the Home Ministry to monitor anti-national activities in the country and anti-national activities will now be monitored by the government through Cyber ​​Volunteers.

An exercise has been launched by the Home Ministry to set up an official mechanism to quell protests on social media.

According to the report, this program will be started first in Jammu and Kashmir and Tripura and then it will be further extended on the basis of experience.

Under the new program, citizens of the country will be able to participate in it as volunteers and identify illegal content on the Internet and inform the government about it, which includes child pgraphy, rape, terrorism and anti-national activity.

According to media reports, the program has been launched as a pilot project in Jammu and Kashmir and Tripura and further expansion will depend on the feedback it receives here.

The Indian Cyber ​​Crime Co-ordination Center of the Home Ministry will be used as a nodal point, according to an Indian Express report. While the citizen will be able to register himself as a volunteer in his state or union territory.

To become a volunteer, people must also provide some of their own information such as full name, father's name, mobile number and e-mail address.

According to government sources, the provisions of the Unlawful Activity Prevention Act are still being used to ensure that the government does not have a clear legal roadmap for anti-national content or activities at present and that any accused involved in anti-national activity is arrested or jailed.

Strict guidelines have also been formulated for the volunteers participating in the program starting from the Ministry of Home Affairs, according to which such volunteers will not be able to avail any commercial and public benefits in the name of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The nodal officer appointed in the state will have full authority to act on the volunteer.

However, according to the report, there is no clear definition of what anti-national activities are. Under UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act), the government files cases against those who are accused of anti-nationalism.
